Position 

As a Manager CIS you are the champion of the Unisys Cloud & Infrastructure consulting business. You are the counterpart for the executives of our clients, translating the business requirements into a clear vision on the usage of IT as a business enabler. You are the primus inter pares between the client, Unisys management, sales and the delivery team(s). You’re experienced in leading project teams.

 

You are the trusted advisor for the client, helping them to recognize, analyze and develop the ICT strategy of the future. From a variety of parameters, you build a clear and accurate image of the clients ICT-ecosystem and develop the scenarios for the client to move forward with the ICT that best supports the business processes. You master the process of developing successful projects from your first contact with the client, including the concept development, external and internal sales process, planning and requirements analysis.

 

The relevant intellectual property, experience and subject matter experts find their way into the client through your directing. What starts as a single contact between you and the client, grows to multiple Unisys engagements helping the clients to develop their ICT of the future.

 

Within Unisys, you are by skills, attitude and success an example and coach for more junior colleagues. You support management in the development of the EMEA CIS consulting group.

 

Specifically, concepts such as cloud, SDDC, hybrid IT, virtualization, ITSM, SIAM, hold no secrets for you. You are certified in methods like TOGAF, ITIL, Prince2, etc. However, it is the relevance of these concepts for the client that you know to explain. You position, sell and deliver services such as infrastructure assessments, scenario planning, innovation workshop, cloud architecture, data center transformation and business alignment sessions. You know the trends in IT, have knowledge of and relations with key technology vendors such as Microsoft, Dell/EMC, Cisco, VMware, ServiceNow, AWS, Oracle, etc.

 

Profile 

To be a relevant candidate, you are a champion ICT/Infrastructure Manager who combines the technical knowledge, skills and experience of defining and delivering large ICT-infrastructures with exceptional analytical and communicational skills. It is your job to support the Unisys sales executives in recognizing opportunities and positioning Unisys as the partner of choice for our (potential) clients.
 

Independence, structure, communication and experience in ICT infrastructure; you combine these characteristics. As Manager CIS you are the bridge between business and technology, between client and Unisys, between sales and delivery. You have proven experience in consultancy at C-level, have a background in ICT and know how to combine working in an international team with getting individual and team results.

You are a member of the European team of Transformation Specialists. You share your knowledge and experience with your colleagues as they do the same. Your focus is on client success, but you know that your value to the client only increases with the support and alignment of the rest of Unisys. You can relate to both the executives and the technical staff of the client, as well as to your peers and others at Unisys.

Communication in English and German in word and writing is crucial. Command of other European languages is considered to be an asset.  You create reports, designs, presentations and architecture documents that apply to the highest standards. You are experienced in presenting to small groups and to large audiences.

You are experienced in working as a consultant and master the techniques of consultative selling, coaching on the job and project management. You have specific demonstrable experience in Data Center & Infrastructure Migration and Consolidation. Your technical experience includes subjects such as SDDC, Cloud, Data Center Architecture, Hybrid IT, Storage and Network Optimization, converged Infrastructures, etc.

Experience, Capabilities and Education 

  • At least 6-8 years of experience working in ICT Consultancy, defining and delivering solutions related specifically to Migration & Consolidation strategies, as well as in general the Data Center, Hybrid Cloud, Infrastructure, and Business cases
  • Experience leading large, mixed (supplier/client) project teams
  • A Proactive, client oriented and result driven attitude
  • Flexible, innovative and pragmatic
  • Strong in structure with an eye for detail
  • Dynamic and active. Able to inspire and convince at different levels
  • Strong in listening, motivating and analyzing
  • Independent, result driven with an entrepreneurial attitude
  • A degree in business and/or IT, Masters a plus
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken) and other European languages a plus
  • Specific Experience in Data Center Migration and Consolidation as well as one or more of the following:
    • Server Infrastructure and Virtualization (Vmware/Microsoft/Linux)
    • Private Cloud & Automation
    • Datacenter & Cloud Migration (Azure, AWS)
    • Big Data Infrastructure
    • Software-Defined Storage, Backup & Archive
    • Infrastructure Mgmt (Puppet, Chef, vRealize, Icinga, System Center)
    • Network technologies (LAN / WAN, subnetting, routing, firewalls etc.)
  • Experience with and certified for TOGAF, ITIL, Prince2, IPMA, etc.
  • Experience with and certified for Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, EMC, VMware, etc
