Position 

As a Network Consultant CIS you are the core of the Unisys Cloud & Infrastructure consulting business. You provide key support to the senior consulting team helping them to translate the business requirements of our clients into a clear vision on the usage of IT as a business enabler.

 

You will work within and across practices and organizations to provide leading-edge technology or application solutions that result in profitable revenue growth for Unisys, where our focus is on development and delivery. 

 

From a variety of parameters, you participate in building a clear and accurate image of the client’s ICT-ecosystem and help develop the scenarios for the client to move forward with the ICT that best supports the business processes. You help in developing successful projects for our clients, including the concept development, external and internal sales process, planning and requirements analysis.

 

Specifically, concepts such as cloud, converged data networks, hybrid IT, software defined networking hold no secrets for you.

 

However, it is the relevance of these concepts for the client that you can explain convincingly. You are key in the delivery of services such as infrastructure assessments, scenario planning, innovation workshop, cloud architecture, data center transformation and business alignment sessions. You know the trends in IT, have knowledge of and relations with key technology vendors such as Microsoft, Dell/EMC, Cisco, VMware, AWS, Azure, Checkpoint, etc.

 

Profile 

To be a relevant candidate, you are an experienced ICT/Infrastructure Consultant who combines the technical knowledge, skills and experience of working in ICT-infrastructures with advanced analytical and communication skills. It is your job to support the consulting and sales teams in recognizing opportunities and positioning Unisys as the partner of choice for our (potential) clients
 

Independence, structure, communication and experience in ICT infrastructure; you combine these characteristics. As Consultant CIS you are the bridge between business and technology, between client and Unisys. You have proven experience in consultancy, have a background in ICT and know how to combine working in an international team with getting individual and team results.

You are a member of the European team of Implementation Specialists. You share your knowledge and experience with your colleagues as they do the same. Your focus is on client success, but you know that your value to the client only increases with the support and alignment of the rest of Unisys. You can relate to both the executives and the technical staff of the client, as well as to your peers and others at Unisys.

Communication in English and German in word and writing is crucial. Command of other European languages is considered to be an asset.  You create reports, designs, presentations and architecture documents that apply to the highest standards. You are experienced in presenting to small groups.

Your technical experience includes subjects such as Network Optimization, data/voice converged Infrastructures , Cloud, Data Center Architecture, Infrastructure Migration, Hybrid IT,etc.

You are adept at integrating complex solutions into new or existing client environments and have successfully implemented network implementations using strong change management skills.

 

Experience and Education 

  • At least 3 – 4 years of experience working in ICT Consultancy, with experience supporting the definition and delivery of solutions related to the Data Center, software defined networking, voice/data convergence, Hybrid Cloud, Infrastructure Strategies, and Business cases
  • A Proactive, client oriented and result driven attitude

  • Strong in structure with an eye for detail
  • Dynamic and active. Able to inspire and convince at different levels
  • Strong in listening, motivating and analyzing
  • Independent, result driven with an entrepreneurial attitude
  • A degree in business and/or IT, Masters a plus
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and other European languages a plus
  • Specific Skills in one or more of the following:
    • Integration of  Virtualization (Vmware/Microsoft/Linux) networking
    • Datacenter & Cloud Migration (Azure, AWS)
    • Software-Defined networking
    • Voice/Data converged networking
  • Experience with and certified for Cisco, AWS, Azure, VMware, Checkpoint, Microsoft,  etc
