Position 

As an Engineer CIS you are a core member of the Unisys Cloud & Infrastructure Implementation business. You are a technical resource for technical reviews, integrations, configurations and own an advanced level of IT implementation knowledge and skills. You’ll be responsible for the quality implementation of solutions against the client requirements, supporting the project management. Working closely with additional Unisys resources is required, ensuring that the solution is implemented against Unisys best practices.

 

You drive value to Unisys clients through the delivery of solutions that utilize standard portfolio offerings while applying a consistent solution methodology to drive requirements based implementation.

 

Within Unisys, you are by skills, attitude and success an example and coach for more junior colleagues. You support management in the development of the EMEA CIS implementation group.

 

Specifically, technologies such as cloud, SDDC, hybrid IT, virtualization, ITSM, SIAM, hold no secrets for you. You are certified in methods like TOGAF, ITIL, Prince2, etc. You know the trends in IT, have knowledge of and relations with key technology vendors such as Microsoft, Dell/EMC, Cisco, VMware, ServiceNow, AWS, Oracle, etc.

 

Profile 

To be a relevant candidate, you are an experienced ICT/Infrastructure Engineer who combines the technical knowledge, skills and experience of working in large ICT-infrastructures with advanced analytical and delivery skills. It is your job to support the effective delivery of major transformational projects.
 

You are a member of the European team of Enterprise Compute Specialists. You share your knowledge and experience with your colleagues as they do the same. Your focus is on client success, but you know that your value to the client only increases with the support and alignment of the rest of Unisys. You can relate to both the technical staff of the client, as well as to your peers and others at Unisys.

Communication in English in word and writing is crucial. Command of other European languages is considered to be an asset.  You deliver projects to the highest standards

You are experienced in working as Engineer and your technical experience includes subjects such as SDDC, Cloud, Data Center Architecture, Infrastructure Migration, Hybrid IT, Storage- and Network Optimization, converged Infrastructures, etc.

Experience and Education 

  • At least 2-3 years of experience working in ICT Delivery
  • Experience in supporting the delivery of solutions related to the Data Center, Hybrid Cloud, Infrastructure
  • A Proactive, client oriented and result driven attitude
  • Flexible, innovative and pragmatic
  • Strong in structure with an eye for detail
  • Dynamic and active. Able to inspire and convince at different levels
  • Strong in listening, motivating and analyzing
  • Independent, result driven with an entrepreneurial attitude
  • A degree in business and/or IT
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and other European languages a plus
  • Specific Skills in one or more of the following:
    • Server Infrastructure and Virtualization (Vmware/Microsoft/Linux)
    • Private Cloud & Automation
    • Datacenter & Cloud Migration (Azure, AWS)
    • Big Data Infrastructure
    • Software-Defined Storage, Backup & Archive
    • Infrastructure Mgmt (Puppet, Chef, vRealize, Icinga, System Center)
  • Experience with and certified for TOGAF, ITIL, Prince2, IPMA, etc.
  • Experience with and certified for Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, EMC, VMware, etc
